3 Cheers for 1 Year!

Hi friends! It's Haley. Roisum Residential recently hit one year in business and we couldn't feel more blessed.

I wanted to take a moment to thank this amazing community for trusting us with your clients and listings. Coming from a former transaction coordinator that worked with dozens of different vendors every day, I know how scary it can be to give a new business a shot. Frankly, I didn't imagine we'd be able to pay our bills or keep food on our table this year. I remember quitting my full-time stable job to do this full-time, and telling Chris there was a very good chance he may need to start job searching just in case. How grateful we are that was not the outcome, and how grateful we are that we've made so many new friends along the way.

If you attended our 1-year celebration, you know we rolled out a few new services and made a few announcements. If you missed it, here's the recap.

Our website has a new look

Next time you check in to the Roisum Residential site, you'll notice it looks a lot different. Reagan (my sister) has put her sweat and tears into this new page, and we're so happy with how it turned out. This new website also lets us customize more, so as we drop new services and products, you'll be able to see them on our site. With a domain switch there may be glitches. If you see anything that looks "off," please don't hesitate to reach out and we'll get it fixed ASAP.

We're now offering a brochure called Upstage

This is an extensive guide on how to prep a home for a photography appointment. We often get asked, "What do I need to do as a seller to prepare my home for photos?" We've compiled a list of literally everything we could think of and put it all into one place. Because of this, it may look overwhelming to your sellers, and that's okay. This is not by any means required. It's just for those sellers that want every single detail on the ways to make their home look the best for photos. If your seller gleans just a few tips from it, we love that too.

We've added a new photographer

Maddy Roisum will be joining the Roisum Residential team as a part-time photographer. You may see her training with Chris for the next few weeks before we let her loose. She already has amazing camera skills and people skills, making her a great fit. We know you'll love her as much as we do.

A few new services

Drone Panorama Service

Think of this like a 3D tour, but in the air. They're interactive, and we can add points of reference, links, and so on. Our example has the nearby schools, shopping, the nearest hospital, and the neighborhood park tagged, each linked to the relevant website. You can also zoom in and out for a better view.

iGuide

If you've ever used one of our 3D tours in the past, we've used Matterport. We now have access to iGuide, which is extremely similar. The main difference is that iGuides are kept indefinitely, while Matterports expire after the home closes at title or is withdrawn from the MLS. iGuides are great if you're looking to use a tour for marketing purposes for your clients, or if your seller wants to keep the tour after the fact. They also come with a built-in floor plan. We still offer Matterport. iGuide just adds another option to the menu.

Videos

We've been quietly building a portfolio of real estate videos for a while before officially offering them. In the past, if you asked, we had the ability. We just never advertised it while we got a handle on the process. Videos are now available as a standalone service. We shoot with an iPhone (which still has surprisingly good quality) and a gimbal, often mixed with our drone videos.

Pricing updates

We're not raising our prices on our services. In fact, we've lowered prices on some of our drone services. That said, gas prices are now too high to support our prior travel fees. Starting September 1st, we'll be increasing our travel fees to areas outside of Idaho Falls by a small amount.
